Peter Afrasiabi and John Tehranian were panelists at a national intellectual property conference in Los Angeles.  They spoke on current copyright infringement and damages issues.  They also discussed current Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) law developing in the district courts and Ninth Circuit, including the high profile Viacom v. Youtube and UMG v Veoh cases that are progressing through the Circuit Court of Appeals and which cases are testing the boundaries of the DMCA’s safe harbor.
