Peter Afrasiabi prevailed in a Ninth Circuit political asylum pro bono appeal.  This appeal was one Peter litigated through the Chapman University School of Law Ninth Circuit Clinic he taught from 2000-2011.  Peter argued the case to the panel of Ninth Circuit judges in May.  The case involved a Chinese labor protester who was persecuted because he sought labor reform and workers’ rights.  The lower courts denied relief, and Peter and Chapman were able to win in the Ninth Circuit.
