As lawyers in the firm, we think a lot about the appropriate legal strategy for a case, and as a result our written work product reflects the unique approaches we have taken in cases. We have collected here for you some examples of various legal work product we have drafted for different cases.

  • Orange County’s most prominent personal injury attorneys secured the largest Federal Tort Claims Act verdict in history — over $54,000,000 — and when the Government appealed, the plaintiff’s lawyers retained us to protect the verdict. Here is our appellate brief. And we won.
  • We have represented a U.S. Senate candidate in a lawsuit filed against him by Don Henley of the Eagles. The case involves copyright fair use and free speech principles. Here is our motion to dismiss filed against part of Don Henley’s lawsuit.
  • We litigate many patent cases and often file claim construction briefs. Here is one we presented in a patent case involving musical marching band equipment, which utilized graphics heavily. We prevailed in this claim construction battle before the Court.
  • We represented X17 in a high-profile copyright infringement lawsuit against Perez Hilton.

  • We represented a local clothes company in a highly publicized lawsuit against Madonna’s new clothing venture involving ownership of the “Material Girl” work in fashion.
