Business Litigation
Dana represents individuals and businesses in complex commercial disputes, including partnership and shareholder conflicts, real estate litigation, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and disputes involving closely held and family-owned businesses. She develops practical litigation strategies informed by each client’s objectives, resources, and long-term interests, with particular sensitivity to matters in which business and personal relationships are closely intertwined.
Earlier in her career, Dana practiced business litigation at firms in Los Angeles and Orange County, including Hufstedler, Miller, Kaus & Beardsley and Jones Day. At those firms, she represented clients in commercial and real estate disputes.
After leaving law-firm practice, Dana spent more than 25 years in nonprofit leadership and educational and disability advocacy. As co-founder and Executive Director of the Down Syndrome Foundation of Orange County, she developed educational programs, built institutional partnerships, and continued to draw on her legal training. Dana represented the National Down Syndrome Congress in several legal matters, handled legal and organizational matters for the Down Syndrome Foundation, and advised and advocated for families and educators navigating individualized education programs and placement decisions. She also served for ten years on the National Down Syndrome Congress Board of Directors and received its President’s Award in 2026.
Dana returned to private practice in 2022. Her experience as both a litigator and a nonprofit executive informs her approach to conflict resolution, client counseling, and organizational decision-making.
Outside her legal and nonprofit work, Dana is a singer-songwriter who loves creating music, telling stories, and finding connection through song.
